It happened again y’all.. I’m sitting there, talking with a friend about her recent wedding, gushing over her new wedding band and discussing the details of that perfect day..When she says it. The thing I hear so often, it breaks my heart.
“The only thing I regret about our wedding day was that we didn’t hire a videographer.”
My heart sinks a little.
I wish I could hop into a time machine and go back to that day, camera & monopod in hand.
But I can’t. And that bride can’t either.
So here I am, hoping I can talk to you and explain at least three things (out of many) that you’ll miss out on when you don’t hire a videographer.
Y’all. These are just a few of the reasons why "not hiring a videographer” is the number one regret couples have about their wedding days. Can I get personal for a second? My main reason for hiring a videographer was that I wanted to be able to show my children and my grandchildren what it was like the day we got married. I wanted them to hear my young voice reading the sweetest words my husband has ever written to me. I wanted to have a second set of eyes and ears on the day, helping me take in as much as possible, because guys, it goes so fast. I also wanted proof that my Clint Eastwood watching, turkey hunting, show-no-emotion-unless-you-have-to-husband actually getting a little emotional.
Still not convinced? Well, just watch sweet Leslie & Logan’s day and I believe you may come around. ;)
Also..if you want to hear me talk about my "Cinderella nails & Snow White Toes" and more about "My Why" go here.
